Chrono: Frames instead of seconds.

When pausing just before activating an elevator down, Samus will hit the bottom of the screen and stop, activating the door transition immediately instead of going off-screen before the room fades out.

If a pause is already necessary for the route, this saves about 50 frames of real time. However, In Game Time already stops when Samus' feet hit the bottom of the screen on an elevator even without the pause, so this does not affect In Game Time.

{{#ev:youtube|wzdSkBXahMk}}

Pausing has no effect on the door transition when going up an elevator.

This is commonly done heading to Lower Norfair Any% PRKD or PKRD after a [[Lava Dive Room|Lava Spark]], if beams are being switched off to prepare for [[X-Factors]] on Ridley, or in PKRD to re-enable Gravity Suit after a Gravity Jump. Then it's used later in these routes to re-enable beams for Tourian.

This can also sometimes be seen in 100% if no pause was needed for the Gauntlet Spark.

This strat seems to be inconsistent on Virtual Console platforms, due to an unknown emulation difference.

Using the [https://www.speedrunslive.com/tools/bingo/super-metroid SRL bingo board] (and following the rules for racing on SRL), racers agree upon a bingo card to use. Each racer will choose a column, row, or diagonal of five goals that they want to race to meet.

Each racer will then, in a circular order of assignment, choose another column, row, or diagonal for another player to use. For example, Player 1 chooses one for Player 2, who chooses one for Player 3, et cetera. These choices are not revealed to those players until the moment the race has begun.

The goals of each of the selections should not conflict with each other. For example, a selection cannot have the square "Space Jump" (meaning to collect Space Jump) if the other selection indicates to "Collect Plasma Beam and skip Space Jump."

Whoever meets all of the (ten) goals of their selections first wins.
