Early Game
The optimal strat, though extremely difficult, involves firing three missiles at the door, landing, then firing two more while jumping through the door.
Heading rightward, jump and shoot two missiles, fall, angle down, and shoot 3 missiles, to open the door in a fluid motion. Find a visual cue for where to start the jump (probably based on the flies).
If you're not consistent at landing all 5 shots on the door using this method, it's only slightly slower to jump up to the door and fire all 5 shots straight forward into it.
Coming back left, run through, and fire an Angle Up shot at the door before jumping up to it. If you press shoot and jump on the same frame, the shot will go forward instead of angled, so you have to do those two actions sequentially.
