Super Metroid Speedrunning Wiki

Welcome to the one-stop place to learn all about Super Metroid speedrunning. Whether you're just starting out, or have been playing Super Metroid since 1994, there's always something new to learn.

All race functions will take place on SpeedRunsLive. If you would like to participate, join #supermetroid on the SpeedRunsLive IRC so you can be present when future functions are scheduled to occur.

If you have an idea for a future function (such as a puzzle), you can discuss it with the community there, as well as on our Discord server.

Hope to see you off Ceres!

Announcements & Upcoming Events

An Any% race will take place every Friday at 9 p.m. and 11 p.m., every Saturday at 1 p.m., and every Sunday at 1 p.m. Eastern.

The Any% race on Fridays at 11 p.m. will be restreamed on a SpeedGaming channel every other week. Off weeks will feature a community randomizer race instead.

Super Metroid Strat Chat, hosted by Kipp and TrueMoss, will (usually) take place every other Thursday at 9 p.m. Eastern on Kipp's channel. Each show will feature a different guest and will involve discussion of different sections of speedrun categories.

The Randomizer League is currently in Season 1 which will consist of 18 weeks of matches, with the top 16 players moving on to playoffs. Schedule and standings can be found here and additional information can be found in the league's Discord server.

The Super Metroid Prodigy Tournament is currently underway. 56 competitors with Any% PBs of 50 minutes or greater (at time of entry) are matched up with Swiss-style brackets for six weeks leading into a single-elimination bracket for top-16 placement. Matches are restreamed with commentary on a SpeedGaming channel. Check the schedule for upcoming matches.
