Bombs are mostly used to destroy bomb blocks to open up passages. They deal 30 damage with a cooldown of 16 frames, but killing enemies with them is usually very slow (beyond the fact that their damage is low), since Samus need to be morphed, get close to the target, wait for the bomb to detonate, and have the bomb detonate on top of the target.
Sometimes called "Morph Bomb", largely to differentiate it from ALttP's bombs in the SMZ3 Crossover randomizer.
